For transportation, you can take the 4/5/6 train. Columbus Circle is only 25 minutes by train; Union Square is 18 minutes away by train, and Wall Street is 28 minutes away by train. It is also within walking distance to Grand Central Station. So if you have family upstate, visiting them will not be a very stressful undertaking.

Murray Hill is also home to many cultural institutes. The New York Public Library has a branch located here. The Nordic Center in America and the Mexican Cultural Institute are also located here. Murray Hill is also within walking distance to The Morgan Library & Museum, housing JP Morgan’s extensive collection of books.
